Our Boats
The Kiella and The Diana are both Long Line Boats and have installed the Mustad Auto Long Line System which consists of storage racks for the magazines, an automatic baiting machine (baiting hooks by hand is a thing of the past), a hydraulic line hauler and hook cleaner.
This advanced method of demersal fishing lays the line and hooks along the ocean floor to provide targeting of a variety of demersal fish species.

Our skippers work to a code of practice and employ Australian best practice as determined by the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA).
This includes -
Setting gear during darkness whenever practical.
No offal discard while setting or hauling gear to minimise attracting birds to the boat.
Deployment of a Tori Line behind vessel when setting gear to scare birds away from hooks and line.
Carriage of AFMA or independent observers when required.
And reporting any interactions with wildlife to AFMA.
