Mures Media Release

We refer to recent media articles in relation to a toxic algal bloom in Huon Estuary and Port Esperance waters.

We wish to advise customers any shellfish products purchased from any Mures outlets are perfectly safe for consumption.

Mures purchases all of its Pacific Oysters and Blue Mussels from suppliers who participate in the Tasmanian Shellfish Quality Assurance Program.

This program ensures all waters where shellfish is farmed, are regularly monitored and tested according to strict government regulations.

Where there is any doubt over the quality and safety of the growing waters, the farms in these areas cease harvesting, and can only recommence harvesting once testing determines it is safe to do so.

So please continue to enjoy Mures quality shellfish products.
